Spring Trail Conditions

The nice weather is finally here and everyone is itching to get out on the trails!  Please be patient. Stay away from wet areas and let the land dry out to be respectful of our landowners, including the North Salem Open Land Foundation.  And remember, stay to the edge of fields and away from homes and barns.  Thank you! *** NSOLF has just informed us the the Baxter Road parcel is closed due to the wet conditions...

Also, in past newsletters I have written “virtual trail rides” as an idea to help you figure out exactly where your membership dollars have been spent. The “rides” have also been helpful to those who don’t know where some of the NSBTA trails are, especially new members. It’s also more fun than just reporting trail work. We have re-printed past “virtual rides” and they are available for download here, for those of you who haven’t seen them. As we explain different areas where we have been working, you will have an easier time picturing the locations. Some of the information is a little outdated now as trail accesses change, people move and new trails are cut.
